Way out in Sparks, this hotel-less casino is a gathering place for the blue-collar workers who enjoy cheap gaming, a smoky casino, and classic rock.

Table Games: Blackjack takes up most of the handful of tables. Although, the poker tables are in the pit, too. Man, we sure hope there aren't any poker-blackjack rivalries that get ugly.
Bet Minimums: $3 single-deck blackjack games let you double on anything, but the dealers hit the soft 17. Bleh.
Machines: Loads of machines, including those crazy coinless penny machines that'll take about 8,000 cents at a time. They have a wide selection of good old fashioned reels at the nickel and higher level. We didn't see any full-pay video poker, though.
Cocktails? Fair cocktail service. We get drinks about once every twenty to thirty minutes.
Who Gets Comps? Ask the dealers how to get a bonus on your buy-in amount. Also, the City Express slot club pays a decent 0.25% in cash back, and also offers comps.

Ale House: This is the fancy dining joint at the Rail City, which means it's not as fancy as a Chili's or Benigans. To its credit, it's cheap. The food is generally pub grub like pizzas, burgers, buffalo wings and the like. The funny thing is that they claim to have their own special beer, but it's not brewed here. It's brewed elsewhere and shipped in.
City Cafe: A typical coffee shop, with decent greasy food and sourdough toast so hard it'll shred the roof of your mouth into ribbons. The buffet is housed in the cafe. It's very small, greasy and no better than a military-base cafeteria. We'd recommend you steer clear of it. Buffet prices are ridiculously cheap, and almost worth it.

Number of TVs: Just four little ones.
Number of Seats: Seven whole seats. Enough for you and six friends, you and three fat friends, or you and twelve skinny friends.
How Many Betting Windows? Two, but don't expect to wait too long. There are slate boards for odds and scores.
Snack Bar? The bar is nearby, but they don't serve any food. You're not going to want to hang around in this place anyway, so you probably won't have any need to buy food.
Minimum Wager: $5 - sports only
Other Notes: This tiny sports book is another of Cal-Neva's outposts. They'll take bets but have no interest in making a comfortable place to watch sports.

Number of Tables: There are three tables at Rail City, and they are as nondescript as the rest of the casino.
Comfort of Chairs: Absolutely and startlingly average.
Closed Room or Open to Casino? This "room" is actually just three tables sitting on the casino floor. No walls, not even a rope to separate them from the non-poker-playing riff-raff.
Game Spreads and Limits: There is a daily tournament to lure you in, and then there is some $2-$4 limit later in the day.
Beginner Games or Classes? No. Although, if you already know maybe you can teach the dealers.
How Crowded is the Room? Not at all crowded. You will almost never have to wait for a seat.
How Good Are the Players? Bad players, often drunk. If you really want to steamroll someone (well, as much as you can at $2-$4), go on Friday afternoons while the casino is cashing checks.
What Else Do I Need to Know? This is not a room and who knows if it will be here next week? So long as poker is popular it will be here, but these tables practically have wheels on them.
